It feels like

You’re constantly worrying about the future or reliving the past instead of finding peace in the present.

Your mind is stuck in a loop you can’t seem to get out of, even though you’ve tried. Therapy, self-help books, internet searches, hard work, deep breathing, prayer, distraction - you do what you can but still end up feeling like you never really get control of this thing. The overthinking, overanalyzing, and worst-case scenarios playing on repeat in your head make it hard (okay… impossible) to rest and relax. You know this anxiety is holding you back from doing the things you want or need to do, but when you try to move forward you just feel like you’re getting in your own way. It’s affecting your sense of self-worth and leaving you stuck in self-doubt.

YOU’RE LIVING LIFE IN SURVIVAL MODE, AND IT’S exhausting.

Maybe you’re a…

  • In spite of looking successful on the outside, your inner struggles weigh you down. You have a good life, but you don't feel good, and you don't feel good enough. Even though you have a strong faith or sense of purpose, you stay stuck in high anxiety, chronic worry, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed. You know it’s taking a toll on your personal and professional life, but you don’t know how to stop it.

  • You’re working so hard but never really feeling good about yourself or what you do. You want to be proud of yourself, but guilt and insecurity seem to always show up so you can’t quite get there. You keep finding yourself overly worried about if you’re doing things “right,” and about what others think. You’re hard on yourself for even the smallest mistakes, which leaves you wanting to withdraw and isolate. You can see how this is starting to impact your life, but you don’t know how to feel lighter and less burdened.

  • You used to have hopes and dreams for yourself, but when you look at where you are now it seems they’ve taken a backseat to the needs of the people around you. You’re preoccupied with making others happy and weighed down by too much responsibility, and it’s all just really overwhelming, isolating, and exhausting. Even though it seems crazy to you because you truly do care about showing up for the people in your life, sometimes you catch yourself fantasizing about running away.

Hi, I’m Celia

The reason you start therapy is to create change in your life, and I'm 100% committed to making this process a success for you.

You just want to feel better, and you don't want to waste any more time figuring out how. I get it. For more than 25 years, I've helped people overcome anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues using EMDR and practical, step by step, whole person health - taking into account mind, body, and spirit - approaches that get results.

I want to help you get from where you are to where you want to be, in the most effective and efficient way possible. I love to take the problems that seem too big and overwhelming to overcome, and break them down into simple and manageable steps for change so that you can get back to living your life feeling peaceful and present, with restored hope for the future.

The process

01.

Step 1: Reach Out

Therapy is more of a relationship than it is a transaction, and it's important to choose a therapist you feel you can connect with and trust. For this reason, I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation so we can determine if we're a good fit for working together. If for any reason we're not, I'll do my best to connect you with another therapist.

Step 2: Get Relief

We'll meet for 2-4 initial sessions focused on sharing your history and current problems, partnering together to create a plan to meet your goals, and defining the steps it takes to meet those goals. In these initial sessions we’ll also identify things you can start doing right away to experience relief - these things may not solve the entire problem, but they can quickly put you back in control of the problem, so  life starts feeling better and our ongoing work feels easier.

Step 3: Experience Change

You go to therapy because you know something has to change but you don’t know how to do it by yourself. Through our work together, you can move past what’s keeping you stuck and start living life the way you want to. From our first few sessions, I help you identify skills and strategies that work for you right away so that you experience immediate relief. Over time we'll work together to identify and heal the root cause of your anxiety and overwhelm so that you're not just managing symptoms, you actually reach a point of deeper healing and lasting change.
